What is OMT?

OMT stands for Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, a hands-on care approach used primarily by Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. DOs use manual pressure, stretching, and resistance to treat muscles, joints, and tissues. The goal of treatment is to improve mobility and relieve pain. Common conditions treated include headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, sinus pressure, carpal tunnel syndrome, pregnancy related pains, and sciatica.
